Final call for nomination
Thank you to everyone who have submitted applications for the Wenhui Award for Educational Innovation 2011.
To those who are still compiling your materials, you will be pleased to know that the deadline for submission has been extended to 15 August 2011.
In line with this year’s theme, Education for Learning to Live Together, the Award will recognize educators and institutions in the Asia and Pacific region for their efforts in contributing to a culture of acceptance of differences, respect for diversity and promotion of peace and harmony through innovative education practices.
Two winners will be selected by a jury of distinguished educators. Each winner will receive US$ 20,000 and a Certificate of Excellence at the China Hangzhou International Conference on Educational Innovations.
Application process
Nominations shall be submitted to the Award Secretariat at UNESCO Bangkok through the National Commissions for UNESCO, UNESCO Offices, APEID Associated Centres and other organizations associated with UNESCO, using an official Award Application Form available online at http://www.unescobkk.org/education/apeid/wenhuiaward2011.
Each nomination must be accompanied by the following attachments:
 Description of the candidate’s/institution’s background and achievements (1 page, A4 size, in English)
Summary of work, publications and other relevant documents of major importance (maximum of 4 pages, A4 size, in English)
Evidence to support the nomination of the candidate (may be in English or local language)
Letter(s) of recommendation (in English or local languages)
Consent form for use and distribution of materials (available online at http://www.unescobkk.org/education/apeid/wenhuiaward2011)
All nominations must reach the Award Secretariat at the address below by 15 August 2011.
