|Dr. Gwang-Jo Kim, Regional Director UNESCO Asia-Pacific Office Bangkok paid a visit to ethnological museum of Lokvirsa on 30th April 2012 along with Dr. Kozue Kay Nagata, Country Director UNESCO Islamabad office.|
Lokvirsa official received Dr. Gwang-Jo Kim and briefed him on the activities of Lokvirsa in relation to documenting and promoting the intangible cultural heritage of Pakistan. He gave a comprehensive tour of the heritage museum to the UNESCO delegation and showed the displays of numerous elements of tangible and intangible Cultural Heritage of Pakistan. Dr. Gwang-Jo Kim took keen interest in the beautiful display and admired the craftsmanship, folklores, oral traditions and expressions, performing arts, social practices and festive events etc exhibited through beautiful modals and portraits. At the end of visit folk artists of Lokvirsa entertained the UNESCO Delegation and other visitors with folk songs and dance. Dr. Gwang-Jo Kim visit was widely covered by the local press.
